Workshop on Building Maintenance and Building Management

The Home Affairs Department organised a Workshop on Building Maintenance and Building Management on 15 December 2016, inviting representatives of the Urban Renewal Authority to explain the general procedures of building maintenance works and the “Smart Tender” Building Rehabilitation Facilitating Services, members of the Hong Kong Mediation Centre to introduce the mediation service on building management, as well as officials of the Labour Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Council to speak on the occupational safety of building maintenance works. The knowledge of building maintenance of the participants was further enhanced through the Q&A and discussion sessions.

The Workshop was well received, with more than a hundred participants, including members of owners' corporations, participants of the Advanced LEAD Programme and Resident Liaison Ambassadors.

Mr CHAN Chi-hung, Senior Manager of the Urban Renewal Authority, introduced the “Smart Tender” Building Rehabilitation Facilitating Services.

Mr CHEUNG Sum-fai, Division Occupational Safety Officer (Safety Management) of the Labour Department, and Mr TSANG Hung-kei, Consultant of the Occupational Safety and Health Council, spoke on the occupational safety of building maintenance works.
